Huawei Photography Masterclass with Mike Kus
Driving smartphone photographers and videographers to their established ‘Next Image’ competition, Huawei has been working with Sussex-based designer and photographer Mike Kus, who has produced a photography masterclass to inspire amateur photographers everywhere.
The competition, which Huawei has billed as ‘The world’s biggest smartphone photography competition’ has been devised to celebrate ‘the positive power of creativity’ and remains open for entries through until 31st July 2020.
With a $10,000 grand prize on offer, along with numerous Huawei P40 Pro smartphones, the latest Huawei mega-cameraphone in the brand’s long line of impressive image-making devices, the new masterclass from Mike Kus could just tip the balance in your favour. In the video, Mike offers personal tips on shooting the very best image for each category in the competition.
Entry Categories
- Near Far: Use your smartphone camera to capture hidden gems and different perspectives – whether you’re inside or out.
- Good Night: Capture fun moments at night or in a low light environment. Reflect the atmosphere of the moment and get creative.
- Hello, Life! A picture is worth a thousand words – so capture and share the emotion or inspiration you take from your everyday.
- Faces: Experiment with identity and the power of portrait photography. Capture the faces of those closest to you.
- Live Moments: Shoot and produce a short video or mobile movie of up to 10 minutes. Express your creativity and share positive stories in the form of moving images.
- Storyteller: Use a set of photos to express emotions to tell your personal story. The story must include 3-9 images.
