Weighing just 14.1 oz / 399 g, the ZV-E1 features ten creative looks, which can be customised, and a ‘My Image Style’ option that allows you to shoot in the Intelligent Auto or Scene Selection mode. You can also adjust background bokeh, brightness, and colour tone directly from the touch-sensitive screen.
The camera comes with an internal three-capsule mic, a mic jack, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additionally, a windscreen is included to protect the internal mic.
The ZV-E1 stands out for its dedicated AI processing unit that uses human recognition to accurately recognise movement, body and head position, and even individual faces, making it easier to track subjects. The AI-based Auto Framing feature automatically crops the frame to keep the subject in a prominent position when shooting video.
With a compact 5-axis stabilisation unit, gyro sensors, and optimised algorithms, the camera achieves up to 5.0-step stabilisation. It supports various resolutions, frame rates, and codecs for recording videos, including RawXAVC HS 4:2:2 10-Bit, UHD 4K, and RawXAVC S 8-Bit.
