Vitec Imaging Solutions has announced that it is in the process of acquiring another photo-specialist manufacturer to expand its already impressive and vast brand portfolio. Now, Savage Universal, joins the ranks, adding photographic backdrops to the Vitec Group stable.

The Vitec Group continues to grow. In fact, the chances are that you own a piece of kit from one of their brands already. The portfolio already includes brands like Syrp, Manfrotto, SmallHD, Teradek, Sachtler and Litepanels, to name just a few. Now, the backdrop manufacturer Savage Universal is set to join the family.

Savage is a manufacturer of high-quality photographic backdrops. Since this is basically a consumable product, it’s constantly needing to be replaced in a professional photography studio.

Vitec has stated that the pandemic has led to an increase in demand for photo backdrops, as not only professional photographers, but also YouTubers, TikTok makers and others are using the products more and more regularly.
