STC Introduce World’s First Sapphire UV Filter

Award-winning Taiwanese optical hardware manufacturer, Sense-Tech Innovation Company, [STC] has unveiled a brand-new filter series during the opening of Photokina 2018.

STC has chosen the German imaging event to premiere the world’s first Sapphire UV Filter, which offers users the benefit of the minimum optical path difference, reducing diffraction in the glass and therefore reducing flare and ghosting. The superior optical coating technology also corrects colour casting by suppressing ultraviolet light before 380nm, and the transmittance of visible light registers at a staggering 99.5%.

STC has adopted the use of the world’s thinnest single-crystal Taiwan-made semiconductor glass, which is naturally strong and structured by the chemically strengthened 800Mpa glass, which will provide users with the most reliable protection for both lens and images.
