OPPO Reveals The Reno8 Series & First Tablet in Europe
OPPO, the smartphone brand that’s been making a significant impact across the UK of late, has announced the arrival of its Reno8 Series and their very first tablet across Europe with some tantalising photo and video capabilities. Ahead of our upcoming review, read on for full details.
The OPPO Reno8 Series, which arrives with MariSilicon X on the Reno8 Pro, also boasts what the brand describes as ‘exceptional low-light camera capabilities.’ The latest devices in the series, the Reno8 Pro 5G and Reno8 5G host dual Sony’s flagship sensors, including the 32MP IMX709 RGBW
sensor for the selfie camera, which should help with shooting sharper selfies in low light situations, and the 50MP IMX766 sensor in the rear for top-end camera performance.
As we know, photo and ever-increasingly, video capabilities continue to be some of the most important factors for users when considering their next device. With this in mind, the Reno8 Pro 5G accommodates the MariSilicon X imaging NPU, which promises unrivalled video capabilities in its class. MariSilicon X boosts the device’s 4K Ultra Night Video for clear, bright, and detailed video footage, even when shot in low light as well as 4K Ultra HDR Video to keep
details in both highlights and shadows.
Since bursting into the European tech market just four years ago, OPPO has evolved into a top-four smartphone brand in that short space and also matches the ranking across the globe having sold more than 80m devices.
Billy Zhang, OPPO’s President of Overseas Sales and Services, told PhotoBite: “Europe is one of our most important regions. We are currently restructuring our business operations here and expanding the region to 21 countries overall. Moving forward, OPPO will continue offering innovative products and technologies to users with a more unified product portfolio across the region.”
OPPO’s First Tablet in Europe Arrives
Along with the Reno8 Series, OPPO has also launched its very first tablet in the region, the OPPO Pad Air. Driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon® 680 Mobile Platform, the OPPO Pad Air has a 10.36-inch 2K display with an array of quad speakers that support Dolby Atmos. At just 440g and a teeny tiny 6.94mm thickness, the tablet has a metallic frame. Its sizable 7,100 mAh battery gives more than 10 hours of continuous video viewing.
