The latest update for the camera is available from the Nikon download centre and also via the Snapbridge mobile app for convenience and the new Firmware Ver.1.10 update for the Z 9 promises to significantly improve the period for high-speed continuous shooting.

When shooting at 20 fps in [High-Efficiency RAW + JPEG BASIC L] recording, the period will improve from the prior [approx. 3] seconds to what Nikon claim to be the world’s longest, at approx. 15 seconds.

When shooting at 20 fps in [High-Efficiency RAW★+ JPEG BASIC L] or [JPEG FINE L+ JPEG BASIC S] recording, the high-speed continuous shooting duration is improved from the previous approx. 3 seconds to approx. 8 seconds.

In addition to this, Nikon has stated that a future firmware update will add a variety of video functions as well as further improved operability and functionality for shooting both stills and video.
