LEICA Relaunch Classic ‘King of Bokeh’ Sumilux-M 35mm f/1.4 Lens
Having been originally launched way back in 1961, the ‘King of Bokeh’ Leica Summilux-M 35 f/1.4 has been reissued in its original vintage design and with identical optical calculations to the very first version.
The announcement from Leica means that the lens will arrive completely unchanged for 35 years. The lens that Leica describes as the ‘world’s fastest wide-angle lens’ arrives as the 4th addition to the Leica Classic Line, with the stainless-steel front ring, lockable focus ring and black attachable lens hood being modelled on the original.
A new round lens hood has also been revealed, with an E46 thread allowing for the use of filters, and comes included.
Pricing and Availability
The reinvigorated Leica Summilux-M 35 f/1.4 is available at all Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store and authorized dealers for a cool RRP of £3,450.00.
