The additional width and height combined with the squarer format offer a considerably improved surface area, which allows users to shoot multiple subjects and to use big props. It lands representing a great option for family portraits, animated action shots, fashion and commercial photography.

The new Vintage Background covers include a small 15cm skirt along the bottom edge that hides the alloy frame and allows the user to combine the background with their chosen floor surface when shooting full-length images. This helpful adaptable support system can be utilised in three different modes. Firstly, it can be used as a handle for the brand’s smaller Skylite panels, and can be configured to a width of 1.1m, 1.5m or 2m, enabling it to be used with the 1.1 x 1.1m, 1.1 x 2m [in either orientation], 1.5 x 1.5m and 2 x 2m Skylites. The handle connects to either side of the Skylite’s alloy frame and gives a firm crossbar to be handheld or attached to a support stand using the Lastolite By Manfrotto Griphead [LL LA8446].

The second use for the rig is as a support leg to support a Skylite, Panoramic, EzyFrame or StudioLink in the vertical position. As with the handle the leg can be used as the 1.1m, 1.5m or 2m length depending on which product the user is looking support. The leg attaches to the frame at one end and the other end rests on the floor. The floor end of the support leg features a useful eye hook to allow the easy attachment of a weight for additional stability.

Finally, the system can be used to support a Skylite on the ground at different angles depending on the length and angle of the leg, creating a helpful directional fill light.
