COFFEE AND CAMERAS LONDON PHOTOGRAPHY EVENT: 12TH, 19TH, AND 26TH NOVEMBER

The London Camera Project is hosting a series of meet ups in London for photography enthusiasts with topics of discussion including black and white film, lomography cameras, and a guest appearance from Horst Friedrichs. All include coffee and a photo walk. Read on below for the full details.

What’s It All About?

On the 12th, 19th, and 26th November 2022 a series of events organised by the London Camera Project will take place in London. On each day, with a ticket, participants will all get a choice of drink and pastry, a special theme or topic, and a guided photography tour in some of the most well-known parts of London. Proceeds from the event will go to The Photography Foundation which helps less advantaged young adults in London pursue professional photography.

Each event date will have it’s own theme and course of events with the schedule running as follows:

  • Coffee and Cameras, November 12th, The Gentlemen Baristas, 
    5 Marble Arch, London W1H 7EJ. Arrivals from 9.30am, and ends at 12.30 noon.
    Complimentary Ilford black and white film, talk and discussion with Andy Blowers, Ilford user and experienced black and white photographer, on how he uses the film to his advantage.  
  • Coffee and Cameras, November 19th, The Gentlemen Baristas, 
    43 Bruton Place, Mayfair, London W1J 6NR. Arrivals from 9.30am, and ends at 12.30 noon.
    Attendees will be loaned a selection of Lomography cameras, and given free film. Lomography representatives will be on hand to provide advice on shooting with film. At this event will be some Lomochrome Purple film and a Sprocket Rocket Panoramic Camera.
  • Coffee and Cameras, November 26th, The Gentlemen Baristas,
    5 Marble Arch, London W1H 7EJ. Arrivals from 9.30am and ends at 12.30 noon.
    A guest appearance from Horst Friedrichs, documentary and portrait photographer and author of Coffee Style published by Prestel. Enjoy coffee and conversation with Horst, famous for his photographic studies of various subcultures. 

How To Book And Extra Details

Tickets are £30 each including refreshments and are available to purchase via the Eventbrite website. All event days have an arrival starting time of 9:30am and last until 12:30pm, with a hot drink and pastry provided by The Gentleman Baristas upon arrival. Ticket holders will also receive a pack of Deerstalker home compostable, Nespresso compatible, coffee pods made of a 50/50 ratio of coffees from Brazil and Burundi.
