Sony Debuts Two Super-Zoom Cyber-Shot Compact Cameras: HX99 & HX95

Announced today during the consumer electronics show, IFA, in Berlin, the new DSC-HX99 and DSC-HX95 cameras are the latest models in the Cyber-shot® series.

Each of the new models comes with the ‘world’s smallest ultra-compact body’ as well as a ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T 24-720mm high magnification zoom lens. Giving wide-angle to super-telephoto shooting options in the same package, these cameras will appeal to people who are travelling or are looking for a super compact, super zoom camera for versatile photography and video capture.

The new camera’s internal recording can shoot high-resolution 4K video footage by adopting the latest image processing system, which enables high-speed continuous shooting at up to 10 frames per second and Fast Intelligent autofocus [AF].


Other new features include Eye AF technology, RAW format output, touch focus/touch shutter, [DSC-HX99 only] as well as supporting the location information link via Bluetooth®.
