Manfrotto has announced a brand-new member of the Lumimuse range – the Lumimuse 8 with Bluetooth Wireless Technology

The new Lumimuse light utilises built-in Bluetooth wireless tech to give userscontrol of lighting output, fully from 0-100% directly from their chosen iOS device using the Lumimuse app, which is available for free from the iOS App Store.

The new 8 LED light is the largest in the Lumimuse range and is made from tough aluminium. It’s sturdy and yet portable, meaning you can have one or more in your bag and at the ready to pop out and use within a flash.

The eight Surface Mount Technology continuous LED lights are suitable for lots of shooting styles, including portraiture, still life photography, interviews or vlogs. It’s simple enough to combine several units to produce creative lighting scenarios.

Battery life

Powered by a built-in, USB-rechargeable lithium polymer battery, the new Lumimuse 8 has an impressive cycle of approx 60 minutes.

What’s in the box?

What you’ll find inside the Manfrotto Lumimuse 8 Bluetooth edition box, along with the light itself, are three colour filters, a diffuser to change colour temperature and light diffusion, and a standard ¼’’ thread to attach the light to any standard tripod. An HDMI charging cable is also included in the box, as well as static shoe mount.

The App

The Lumimuse App features a user-friendly interface with a step-by-step guide on how to use the Lumimuse 8 Bluetooth LED. It can control up to 13 LEDs, including Manfrotto’s LYKOS LEDs equipped with a dongle. When first launched the app features Help screens to walk users through all its functions.
