Berenstargh may be a brand you have not heard of but that is all about to change. Over the course of 3 month’s, I have been using and testing the Berenstargh Fujifilm NP-W126S version against Fujifilm’s own batteries to see how it stack-ups in real-world situations. Spoiler alert, I was very impressed.

Now I could’ve sat down and done a test where I charged both batteries up and just shoot 400-600 shots before the battery dies but I didn’t see that as a real-world situation. So I packed my bag and headed out to use both batteries on location and during client shoots to see if I could sense if the Berenstargh version was giving trouble.

Overall I did not see any issues or notice any patterns when switching between the batteries which was a great sign. You may be wondering why you should bother to buy the Berenstargh version over the own brand and the answer is money. Shopping around you’ll find the Brenestargh batteries at around half the price of the Fujifilm own brand and that is by design. Berenstargh aims to undercut its competitors on price but maintain or improve the performance.
