Tamron Reveals Smallest Zoom Lens for Sony E-Mount Full-Frame Mirrorless Cameras
Tamron has released details of its new telephoto zoom lens for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless cameras, the 70-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD [Model A047].
Tamron fans will be aware that the brand has produced several telephoto lenses that reach to 300mm for DSLR cameras, but the new 70-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD is the very first model from the Tamron stable that’s been created for full-frame mirrorless cameras. It should appeal to photographers who lean towards landscapes, sports, wildlife, portraits and other styles of image-making and has been delivered as being the world’s smallest and lightest 70-300mm zoom lens, and at just 148mm and 545g, it seems to be a valid claim.
The new lens, which has a 67mm filter diameter, boasts a ‘Moisture-Resistant Construction’ that should raise the appeal for those who might plan to shoot in adverse conditions.
The new Tamron also applies numerous in-camera features, such as Sony’s Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF, meaning those shooting with in-camera image stabilisation or perhaps using tripods, might lessen the amount of kit needed to produce solid shots.
5 years of peace of mind
Tamron’s 5-year warranty should also prove to be appealing for many and, at the very least, will offer peace of mind. Once registered, consumers are entitled to service provision as part of the 5-year warranty in the UK and Ireland. Registration can be arranged HERE.
